Granting Access for SEO / AEO Management

We're excited to work with you! To get started, we'll need access to each of the following.

1. Google Analytics (GA4)

2. Google Search Console

3. Content Management System (CMS)

4. Domain Name System (DNS) - if applicable

Granting Access to Google Analytics

Step A: Create a Google Analytics Account

If you already have Google Analytics, skip to Step B: Granting Access to Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps you understand how people use your website, which pages they visit, and how your marketing efforts perform. Most modern websites use GA4 (Google Analytics 4), which is the latest version of Google’s tracking platform.

Your screens may look slightly different depending on your setup, but the steps below are generally the same for all websites.

1. Go to https://analytics.google.com and log in with your Google account.

2. Click Admin (bottom left). Under Account, click the dropdown and select Create Account.

3. Enter your Account Name (usually your business name) and click Next.

4. Under Property, enter your website or brand name, choose your time zone and currency, then click Next.

5. Add your business details and click Create. Accept the terms.

6. Choose Web as your data stream, enter your website URL, then click Create Stream.

7. Copy the Measurement ID (G-ID) and install it on your website using a plugin (common for sites like WordPress or SquareSpace), Google Tag Manager (slightly more advanced), or by adding the script to your site's header (advanced).

8. Go to Reports → Realtime to confirm your tracking is working.

You now have a Google Analytics account. Next, grant us access to Google Analytics.

Step B: Grant Us Access To Google Analytics

To help manage your SEO, Influicity needs access to your Google Analytics property. This lets us review your traffic data, monitor performance, and ensure your tracking is working correctly.

1. Go to https://analytics.google.com and log in with the Google account that owns your Analytics.

2. In the bottom left, click Admin (the gear icon).

3. Under the Property column, select the website property you want to share (your main GA4 property).

4. Click “Property Access Management.”

5. In the top right, click the blue “+” button and choose “Add users.”

6. Enter this email address: adsmanager@influicity.co and leave “Notify new users by email” checked.

7. Under “Roles,” select Editor so we can properly manage your Analytics for SEO.

8. Click “Add.”

✅ Done. You have now granted Influicity access to your Google Analytics account.

Next, set up Google Search Console.

Granting Access to Google Search Console

Step A: Create a Google Search Console Account

If you already have Google Search Console, skip to Step B: Granting Access to Google Search Console

(Only do this after you set up Google Analytics in the previous step)

Google Search Console helps monitor how your website appears in Google Search. It tracks search performance, indexing issues, and technical problems that may affect your rankings.

1. Go to https://search.google.com/search-console and log in with your Google account.

2. Click “Start now” if prompted.

3. On the left side, click the dropdown at the top and choose “Add property.”

4. Select the “Domain” option and enter your domain name (example: yourwebsite.com). This verifies your entire domain, including all pages and subdomains.

5. You will be shown a TXT record to add to your DNS settings. If you know how to access your DNS, add the TXT record now. If not, you can skip this for now and Influicity will help you complete it.

6. After adding the TXT record, return to Search Console and click “Verify.” (Verification may take a few minutes for DNS to update.)

Your Google Search Console property is now created. You now have a Google Analytics account. Next, grant us access to Google Search Console.

Step B: Grant Us Access to Search Console

Once your Search Console property is created, you can grant Influicity access so we can manage search performance and indexing.

1. Go to https://search.google.com/search-console and log in with your Google account.

2. Select your domain property from the top dropdown.

3. On the left sidebar, click “Settings.”

4. Click “Users and permissions.”

5. Click the blue “Add user” button in the top right.

6. Enter this email address: adsmanager@influicity.co

7. Choose the “Full” permission level so we can properly manage your Search Console data.

8. Click “Add.”

✅ Done. You have now granted Influicity access to your Google Search Console.

Next, grant Influicity Access to your CMS.

Granting Access to your CMS

A Content Management System (CMS) is the platform you use to manage your website. Common examples include WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, and Webflow. Your screens and labels may look slightly different depending on your CMS, but the steps below are generally the same across all platforms.

1. Log in to your website’s admin dashboard (your CMS login page).

2. Go to the section where you manage users. This may be called “Users,” “Team,” “Staff,” “Members,” or “Access.”

3. Choose the option to add a new user or invite a new team member.

4. Enter this email address: adsmanager@influicity.co

5. Assign a role that allows us to edit pages, install tracking, and update SEO settings. Common role names include “Administrator,” “Editor,” “Manager,” or “Full Access.” If you are unsure, choose the highest non owner role.

6. Send the invite or save the new user.

✅ Done. We’ll accept the invite and get started!

Next, grant Influicity access to your DNS (if applicable).

Granting Access to your DNS

Your DNS (Domain Name System) controls domain settings such as where your website points and how certain services verify that you own your domain.

Examples of DNS providers include GoDaddy, SiteGround, Bluehost, Cloudflare, and Google Domains.

Most SEO work does not require DNS access. We typically request it only if:

• We need to verify your domain for Google Search Console or other tools
• There are domain-level issues affecting SEO (redirects, domain versions, SSL conflicts)

If DNS access is not needed or if you are not comfortable providing it, just let your Influicity account manager know and we will proceed without it.

1. Log in to the company where your domain is registered (your DNS provider).

2. Go to the section where you manage users or delegate access. This may be called “Users,” “Account Access,” “Delegates,” “Team,” or “Permissions.”

3. Choose the option to add a new user or grant access.

4. Enter this email address: adsmanager@influicity.co

5. Assign a role that allows us to view and edit DNS records if needed. Common role names include “Admin,” “Editor,” or “DNS Manager.”

6. Send the invite or save the new user.

✅ That’s it. We’ll take it from here.
